Free Multi-Point Inspection

FREE MULTI-POINT INSPECTION IN LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO

A Complete Health Check—Included With Your Service

Every time your vehicle is in our shop for service, our certified technicians perform a complimentary multi-point inspection while it’s on the lift. It costs you nothing, it doesn’t extend your visit, and it means you leave knowing exactly where your vehicle stands—not just that the one thing you came in for got done. At Advance Transmissions & Complete Auto Care, it’s simply part of how we work. We serve drivers in Lake St. Louis, O’Fallon, Wentzville, St. Peters, St. Charles, and the surrounding communities.

Let’s Address The Obvious Concern

You’ve probably had a “free inspection” somewhere that turned into a high-pressure list of urgent repairs. We understand the skepticism, so here’s our commitment in writing: we report what we find, we tell you what’s genuinely urgent versus what can wait, and we never pressure you to authorize work. If everything looks good, we’ll tell you that too—and plenty of inspections end exactly that way. Information is the product here, not a sales pitch.

What We Check

While your vehicle is with us, we look over the systems most likely to need attention:

  • Brakes — pad thickness, rotor condition, and fluid level
  • Tires — tread depth, wear pattern, and pressure
  • Fluids — oil, coolant, brake, power steering, washer, and transmission
  • Battery — condition, terminals, and charging system
  • Belts and hoses — cracking, glazing, softness, and leaks
  • Lights — headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and interior lamps
  • Wipers — blade condition and washer function
  • Filters — engine air and cabin air
  • Suspension and steering — visible wear and play
  • Leaks — anything dripping where it shouldn’t

Green, Yellow, Red—So You Know What Actually Matters

A list of findings isn’t useful unless you know what to do with it. We prioritize every item so the picture is clear at a glance: green means it’s in good shape, yellow means it’s wearing and worth planning for at an upcoming visit, and red means it needs attention now for safety or to prevent a larger repair. You decide what happens next—and you’re free to take the report elsewhere or simply keep it for reference.

When Do You Get One?

Automatically, with services like an oil change, brake service, battery service, or scheduled preventive maintenance. Because it happens at every visit, we build a picture of your vehicle over time—which is how a component that’s slowly wearing gets flagged as “yellow” long before it strands you.

Need something more thorough—a pre-purchase evaluation before buying a used vehicle, or a motorcycle looked over? That’s our standalone vehicle and motorcycle inspection service.

Frequently Asked Questions About Multi-Point Inspections

Is the multi-point inspection really free?

Yes. It’s included at no charge whenever your vehicle is in for service. There’s no fee, no catch, and no obligation to authorize any work we find.

Will you pressure me to fix everything you find?

No. We report what we find and prioritize it—what’s urgent, what’s worth planning for, and what’s fine. What you do with that information is entirely your call, and you’re welcome to take the report elsewhere.

What exactly gets checked?

Brakes, tires, fluids, battery and charging system, belts and hoses, lights, wipers, air and cabin filters, suspension and steering, and a look for any active leaks.

How is this different from your standalone inspection service?

The multi-point is the complimentary check that comes with your service visit. Our standalone vehicle and motorcycle inspections are more thorough, scheduled on purpose, and typically used before buying a used vehicle or before a long trip.

How often should my vehicle get a multi-point inspection?

Every service visit—which for most drivers means every oil change. Checking regularly is how a slowly-wearing part gets spotted early instead of failing on the road. Book your next service here.

I came from NY to pick up a truck I purchased from a private seller. The transmission blew 30 miles into our trip home. I googled some transmission shops around the area and found advanced transmissions. It was almost closing time for them, but one of the guys said he would stick around until the tow truck could delivery the truck. When I arrived he went over all of the options and advised me on the best way to proceed. I then went back to NY and waited for the truck to get fixed. They kept me updated with the progress and when it was finished we worked out a plan to pick it up on a Saturday. The truck drove home perfectly 750 miles. They also check all my fluids and looked it over for my trip. I'm very grateful I came across this shop in such a time of debacle. Thanks so much!

I recently took my SUV to Advance Transmissions based on a diagnostics from Firestone that lead me to believe a catastrophic issue with my transmission. The transmission was a rebuild and was only a few years old, so still under warranty. After calling around to a few shops, some would honor the warranty while some would not, I ended up taking it to Advance Transmissions based on the fact that they would service it under warranty and were the most responsive. I'm really glad I did. I can't say things would have been worse at other shops, but I could totally see being taken advantage of elsewhere. The issue stemmed from a single missing o-ring. They had it assessed, replaced, tested, and ready in a day or two. And since it was such a simple fix, they made it free of charge. It was originally looking like it would be a lot of labor expense even if the part was under warranty. But instead, they were honest, courteous, and respected me as a customer. I'll definitely be taking any future business here.

One of the most honest auto repair shops I’ve ever seen. I worked with John. I told him my problem and over the phone. He helped me get my transmission working again saving me thousands of dollars I would highly recommend this transmission shop and the staff.
